Judy Hakala –
I previously reviewed this briefcase some years ago but I see the reviews didn’t carry over to the new website and that’s fine because I’d like to give a more detailed review now that I’ve had the case for several years. This is actually the second one I’ve owned because a friend saw my first one and liked it so well that I give it to her. After going without it for a while I realized that I needed to order another one. This is not the most expensive briefcase I own (not by a long shot). It’s not the most luxurious briefcase I own. It is, however, the BEST briefcase I own and there are several reasons. First, the case is very light when empty. As a person who is not able to carry a lot of weight, I appreciate this. Too many cases are heavy even before you put anything in them. Secondly, the pockets are very well thought out. I’d like to describe each one but this review would be too long, so I’ll focus on a few favorites. The full length outside front zipper pocket is gusseted, so it can hold a little more. The back one is flat so it’s good for holding papers or anything you want kept flat. There are several pen holders (not just two like many cases) and one is large enough to hold a large marker (or two smaller pens/pencils). Two of the pockets are large enough to hold a laptop charger. There’s a mesh pocket on the front of one of these pockets that I just love. It has a vertical zipper, the mesh is very high quality and it’s great to corral small items you don’t want dumping out should the case take a tumble. The final thing I’ll mention is that the main zipper zips all the way down both sides so, even though the case is black inside, it makes it easier to see/retrieve the contents. I don’t really have any “cons” with this case. I will mention that the heavy duty zippers are a bit noisy – it doesn’t bother me, but you probably wouldn’t take this if you were going out to secretly photograph wildlife! I’ll also mention that, although the photo shows snaps on the handle wraparound, mine has a Velcro wrap. The bottom line is that the person or team that designed this briefcase knew what they were doing – it just works. I notice that it is currently out of stock, so, hopefully, they’ll make some more!
